Rage Quits and Table Flips

Okay, so anyone who plays FR knows that it's been up and down many times over the last few days. Sadly, it's down again, so instead, I decided to write a new blog post.

Yup, that's how I decide to write about stuff.

Anyway, I wrote the title because I thought it was catchy. Seriously, say it out loud to yourself a few times and you'll understand.

So, yeah.

Today's new game, and its siblings, is the cause of such "quits and flips".

A game within a game;

Specifically, within in a dragon/griffin breeding game called "The Dragon Empire."

DE is totally fine as a game, it's the games within it that can be frustrating.

Like, "The Swarm."

At first read, it seems like a simple game: run from the little critters called "Draqrats", which I'm guessing is the DE version of rats. If they touch you ("bite" you, with a foamy red smoke that represents you bleeding) then you lose points, and essentially prize money.

It sounds simple, and in essence, it is.

If it weren't for the fact that if you don't have a dragon and you use the default those Draqrats are just as fast as you and will hunt your sorry tush down.

The first time I played, I don't know how I did it, but I got over 200 points. (Kinda sad because you start out with 750.) Every time after that, though, I got less than 50!! It's like the Draqrats said "Get her!!!"

Sheesh, give a girl a break!

The next game is called, "Skreee!"

Um, What?

Basically, you're stuck in a little box and the only way you can move is if you click the mouse in a direction to turn you around. A bunch of (you guessed it) Draqrats show up and you have to shoot fire at them to kill them. If they get away, you lose points. Simple, right?

No.

I wasn't expecting to be in one spot like I was, and the Draqrats SWARMED after I killed a few of them. There were so many and I had no idea if I killed them or not. They run randomly around you with literally no purpose other than to confuse the heck out of you before they bounce on outta there, and there is no rapid fire.

Lovely.

DE isn't the only game that has rage quitting minigames.

Felisfire has them too, like this lovely one:

I have never finished this game. Ever.

This game looks easy. But it's so hard it comes with a warning!:

"Note to the wise: This game is harder than it seems.
Note to the curious: Orbs behave in mysterious ways..."

MYSTERIOUS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

They act downright weird!

You think you're aiming somewhere, but nope! It will go a little to the left, right or even BEHIND where you are aiming!! How the heck?? Some of them even change when they touch others, but only in a certain order/combo that I have yet to figure out. If you cracked the code, please tell me!! (The highest score is 17!!!)

They also have another game, which is just a version of snake, called "Edgy Eggs".

My issue with this game? You get ONE in game currency for every TEN points in the game. Each egg you get is ONE point. Meaning you would be very hard strapped to even get 10 bucks from it.

Ugh.

Anyway, this post will be updated regularly, so be sure to check back often to see more minigame frustrations!

Buh-bye!
