CARBS!!! *NOM NOM NOM*
I'M SO HUNGRY!!! *Eats rice right out of the pot*

.
Ahem.
So, as you can clearly see, I am dining on delicious rice straight from the rice cooker (which is about the size of a large bowl, now that I think of it...) and I am now going to grace you with a tale of my own creation, based on someone else's creation. It is about cats that fly and give birth to live young but start out in the first generation as eggs.

ಠ_ಠ WAT?
*Sniff* It was so young!
Okay, enough questioning the sci-fi logic. Let's take a look at the front page of FelisFire~!
Ohhh, space-y! Me gusta. :3
And if you are indeed wondering what that text says....
| Felisfire Planet of Alien Felines | ||
![]() | It was all over the news, all over the world. An Earth-like planet with its own locally evolved life had been discovered and secretly explored by a coalition of all Terran governments. Scientists of all disciplines, from all lands, were needed for a pan-Terran colony to be established on the planet code-named FELISFIRE for the purpose of studying its strange native life, especially the cat-like forms termed "xenofelinoids." How could you resist? Names were being made, papers published, before the expedition even got off-world. So you signed up. You endured the long coldsleep under cryogenic suspension on the UTV (United Terran Vessel) Voidhawk. And now, at last, you have arrived at Planet Felisfire! You have been given your own dedicated laboratory, as fully stocked as possible, as well as six cryogenically frozen eggs containing embryos of the most common native xenofelinoid species to start your own genetic and breeding experiments. But now that you're here, there's no going back, and the situation on the ground isn't as stable as the people back on Earth believe it to be. Bizarre things happen on Planet Felisfire, things which ought to be impossible. Will you be able to successfully breed the native xenofelinoids? More importantly, will you survive to unravel the mysteries of this weird place...? The thumbnails to the right, alongside this text, show random Feli owned by players in the game right now! Refresh the page to see more, or mouse over the Feli you like to see their name and ID number. If you join, you may see your favorite Feli appear here too! The colonists are looking forward to meeting you, so what are you waiting for? Read the ToS, fill out a beta tester application, and join us! |

The "Register" page awaits you.
Happy Flying.
Well, THAT was interesting! Holy cow, my text is green, tiny and bold! Hold on, then.
Ah, much better! And far more legible, if you ask me. Not that there is anything wrong green, of course! Or tiny and bold, for that matter.
FelisFire is a game of alien felines, and I have touched on it before. However, I failed to give it a proper post all of its own, so here it is!
Ta-da! *Throws glitter and confetti. Someone whispers to me from offstage* Eh? Oh, the page isn't done yet? I'm supposed to give information? Sheesh, you people are asking of so much!
Well then, here is the information you all need to know before running off and making your own lovely feli:
-Two types of currency, which is pretty standard for most games. Basic currency is called "energy", or en for short. I like capitalizing it. :3 Premium currency are called "orbs". Each orb is $1 and is around 1,000 energy. You can sell and buy it in user shops and in the forums for various prices.
-You start out with 6 felidae eggs (the most common and standard feli in the game) and you can alter the colors of the eyes, nose and coat, as well as give it two free markings of any color. I made 3 pairs of mating feli. My favorite ones look like a tiger superman. :3
-You can sell feli to different users for either type of currency, play games to earn energy, and gather items and meat for your feli at the cost of energy.
-The game, at the time of this post, is still in beta phase. Which means you have to wait for admin approval to play. One major thing you need to play this game is proper grammar. You can get denied access or even (if you are playing already) banned without the use of proper grammar. And honestly, I am not complaining. Some people type like their keyboard is learning English from scratch and they're talking to it through a microphone but because the keyboard is new at this it decides to use the only letters it knows to create visual versions of the sounds the person is making. And that's not pretty. Not at all.
Ahem. Sorry for the off topic rant.
Where was I?
Oh yeah!
-Your feli can't die, but they can become "permafrozen", and you must use a potion to cure them. This only occurs with the use of certain items. They cannot die from starvation, which renders hunting pretty much useless right now.
-There are a lot of markings to choose from, but when you hatch a feli from an egg, you can only use two free "egg markings" and any others cost orbs. *Cries due to the fact that I am broke* Certain markings need an item to place them on your feli. Prices vary from very cheap to holy-crap-time-to-sell-everything-I-own-in-order-to-make-this-feli-one-step-closer-to-awesome-nevermind-the-fact-that-I-live-in-a-box-now-at-least-I-have-an-awesome-looking-feli.
-You can play around with different markings and create your own designs in the lab designer. You can sell your designs to other players in the forums, or you can make them yourself. If you get a membership, the cheapest is 5 orbs, you can see unlimited markings. But, if you are like me who is too broke to make my own customs let alone buy a membership, then you will have to manually add on any extra markings, as the most you can see in the designer is 5.
(Bye the way, this was written over a period of two, really stretched out days and now I am happily nomming on a hot bowl of cheap ramen soup. MY TUMMY IS HAPPY.)
EXTRA SPACE.
MORE SPACE!
MO-*whispers from off stage* What? Too off topic? DEAL WITH IT-I mean, oops. ^^;
All in all, FelisFire is a great customization/breeding combo game, especially for those with a hobby fund.
I would give it a personal rating of 9 out of 10, given the fact that it's in beta and its still cool.
There is a similar game called Khimeros that I want to tell you guys about, but next time. My noodles are beckoning me.
